“Island” by Ahmel Echevarría

“Island” is a translation of one of the chapters in the novel Días de entrenamiento by Cuban writer Ahmel Echevarría. This novel excerpt was published in print in the Spring 2021 issue of New England Review, which includes a Cuban literature supplement. Translated from Spanish.
